At least 222 people have been killed and 843 injured after a tsunami hit Indonesia’s Sunda Strait on Saturday.
The death toll is expected to go up because rescue workers are still searching through damaged areas according to the Indonesian National Disaster Mitigation Agency
The agency says, “It’s possible that it was triggered by an underwater landslide due to the eruption of Mount Anak Krakatau. At the same time, there was high tide because of the full moon. So there was a combination of natural phenomena, tsunami and high tide.”
