After closing it’s stores for racial bias training due to two black men being racial profiled at a Starbucks Philadelphia it look’s like some employees didn’t benefit from the training at all!! Starbucks now faces new racism allegations after an employee at their California location wrote the racial slur “beaner” on a latino customers cup. Per the Urban Dictionary beaner means a “Mexican person living in the United States that supposedly eats beans. Usually an illegal immigrant that recently crossed the US border. “
USA Today reports,
Starbucks said in an e-mail that company officials met with the customer Thursday morning at one of the local stores and that he accepted their apology.
“This kind of mistake is unacceptable and we will take additional steps to assess what happened here and how our partners can be better,” Starbucks said.
On the afternoon of May 29, Starbucks is closing all 8,000-plus of its U.S. company-owned stores and its corporate offices for racial-bias training for its employees.
