Keshia Knight Pulliam‘s divorce from Ed Hartwell just gets messier by the day.
As if getting married, pregnant and divorced within a year isn’t enough of a soap opera, now there are claims of an attempt to cause a miscarriage. TMZ reports that Damia Ward-Henley, a friend of Ed’s girlfriend Tonya Carroll, revealed in court that Tonya told her she wanted to “get something that would cause someone to have a miscarriage” while The Cosby Show star was pregnant last June.
According to court docs, Ed started dating Tonya while he was still married to Keshia. Damia says when Tonya found out Keshia was pregnant, she was very upset because she wanted Ed to leave her. She added that’s when Tonya told her she wanted to get “something” that would cause the miscarriage. But Damia says she shot down the request and told Tonya and Ed to break off their relationship.
The actress also filed new documents, stating she is worried Hartwell is an unfit father, who can’t be trusted around their two-month-old daughter. She claims Ed testified in a lawsuit that he’s suffering severe physical and mental problems, and needs to take drugs to cope.
Although Ed is seeking joint custody of the couple’s daughter, Keshia has requested a court-appointed guardian to evaluate his parenting skills.
