Montana Fishburne has caused her family a lot of grief over the years.
The daughter of legendary actor Laurence Fishburne just added another bad notch on her belt of things that have embarrassed the family. People.com reports that the 25-year-old was arrested for allegedly driving under the influence in Florida on Saturday morning.
Florida Highway Patrol troopers took Fishburne into custody at 1:56 a.m. on March 11th after she allegedly hit a vehicle that had slowed down to avoid another crash. The incident occurred on I-95 near her home in Fort Lauderdale. According to the Florida Highway Patrol report, a trooper allegedly discovered an open bottle of wine on the rear left floor of Fishburne’s 2016 Toyota Corolla and “the two front seats splashed with a purple liquid emanating a strong odor of alcohol.”
The report continued, “Subject was moving around constantly and was making incoherent statements such as her driver license name being different if I was to arrest her. As I was talking to the subject I could smell a strong odor of an unknown alcohol beverage coming from the subject’s mouth area and mild slurred speech.” Fishburne consented to a field-sobriety test, but she “would not do as instructed and (began) the exercises before the command was given.” This isn’t the first time that Montana has gotten the family some bad press. Back in 2010, Fishburne decided to take her talents to pornography and appeared in an adult film, much to her dad’s dismay.
Montana was released on a $2,500 bond from the Broward County Sheriff’s Office jail on Saturday following her DUI arrest. No word on whether or not she entered a plea or retained an attorney, but we’ll keep you posted on the latest.
