Fly girl, Mary J. Blige is set to guest star on the upcoming third season of Shondaland’s How To Get Away With Murder on ABC.
The details of her role and the story line for Season 3 are slim, but in an earlier interview with the show’s star, Viola Davis, she stated that there will be “a new mystery” in Season 3, “and it’s going to be presented very quickly in the first episode.” Davis also added, with that new mystery, the show’s creator Pete Nowalk “explores the relationships in a much deeper way.”
Blige has been taking jabs at acting for quite sometime and making the transition from Queen of Hip Hop/Soul to acting hasn’t been easy, but MJB has been persistent. Her recent run as Evillene in The Wiz Live! on NBC, earned her a Critics’ Choice TV Award nomination for Best Supporting Actress in a Movie Made for Television or Limited Series. And Blige also appeared in the Season 1 finale of ABC’s hit comedy series black-ish.
