Trending all over Maryland and surrounding areas is the devastating flood that took place in Ellicott City leaving two dead and and over 100 people left stranded waiting for rescuers. So what now? Well many businesses are closed due to the flood and as well as the streets of Ellicott City so the city is asking for friends and families help! Howard High are collecting donations today in the school parking lot from 4:00pm to 7:00pm today. They’re looking for trash bags, snow shovels, bleach, gloves and anything else that can be used for clean up. The Red Cross is also accepting donations along with the Ellicott City Partnership at ECPARTNERSHIP.ORG.

Also over 170 vehicles were towed so if you were one of the many or know someone who’s vehicle was towed Howard County officials are saying all the towed cars will be towed at no cost. Owners will be able to pick up their vehicles hopefully on 8/2 at the Centennial High School in Ellicott City.
