Yahoo Set To Invest $20 Million In Snapchat

Snapchat’s creators have some explaining to do.

The social media forum is facing a class action suit, filed by “a bunch of kids” and well-known attorney Mark Geragos, after subjecting underage users to explicit ad content in its fairly new feature, Snapchat Discovery.

Featuring long form posts from a variety of media outlets, more of the content has become vulgar in nature. Three examples Geragos included in the suit are as follows: “10 Things He Thinks When He Can’t Make You Orgasm,” “I Got High, Blown, and Robbed When I Was a Pizza Delivery Guy,” and “What It Is Really Like to Let People Finger You in Public.”

According to TMZ, “The class action suit, on behalf of the minors, seeks a $50k penalty for each violation of the Communications Decency Act, and an order forcing Snapchat to warn parents and minors of graphic content.”

You’ve got to admit, the youngsters definitely have a point. We’ll continue to keep you updated as more information surfaces.
