We know DJ Khaled as the king of snapchat, but on a recent Ellen show, he called himself the “Quincy Jones of hip-hop.”

Speaking on his 25-year grind to that compared level of success, Khaled had break down the group of haters he classifies as “they” and offered Ellen a major key.

“Please Ellen, stay away from them. ‘They’ is the person that told you you would never have the Ellen show,” he explained. “‘They’ are the people that don’t believe in you, that say that you won’t succeed … ‘They’ never wanted me on The Ellen Show and look at me, I’m on The Ellen Show.”
