Dre’s ‪#‎breakfastbite‬.. What are your thoughts on Chris Rock’s opening monologue for the ‪#‎Oscars‬?

DjBunk Dodson Classy, but Really Real, he said what most African-Americans were thinking

Kevin Boardley I didn’t watch the Academy Award

Swole King Petty Chris Rock helped ease the tension with humor, surrounding some of the issues no one would address. He was the only one who could do it. A great choice.

Renee’ Scott-Richardson Dont know didn’t watch it.

Stuart Goodall Rock did what he does, provide smart, sometimes painful, social commentary aimed at all sides. That may be why some black audiences don’t like him. He’s this generations George Carlin.

Dee L Tuck Head Perfect

Tee Denton Great choice. Gm Dre

Pat Bush-Johnson He said it did it done! Kudos!

Kizzie StillStanding Ray Loved it

jav_523 He spoke the truth…say I say 👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽👏🏽

urbaninformer Very good!

living_lovin1 5He actually was very good I must say; however, u could kind of tell he was nervous and a bit uncomfortable waiting for them to laugh it kind of seemed!

i_am_legend83 @drejohnson1 @urbaninformer he did what he was supposed to do he couldn’t not speak on the ongoing topic about protesting the awards he flipped it and made it funny always address the pink elephant in the room gm fam #Early

bigmarco711 @drejohnson1 He deserves an Oscar for keeping it REAL

iamajguy_426 He was funny but a super sell out. He put Kevin Hart in a position where he looked uncomfortable but had to laugh cause she knew he was being looked at. But Kevin Hart saved face with his speech he gave before presenting!

chngthengteng Asian American representation to Chris Rock is just a stereotype of being bankers or child labor workers…

deezy_dorite Cmon @drejohnson1 When the white supremacist wants to shut us up. They pay the blackest person of our culture with the greenest mentality to provide comic relief at minorities expense. Think about how many times Chris Rock hosted an award show….it was a racial crisis going on. To put us in our place, as well as every other minority(really majority if we do the statistical analysis) race who has been long-term irritation for white supremacist. Dont get it twisted Tyler Perry makes movies of driven black people with goals, dreams, or success. Then something happens dramatically that reminds those black people of their place and position in the world at the white supremacy table. All subliminally we eat it up and think that is the path to success.

mr.william33 Did a great job. Keeping it funny and mutual

knowtheboytrill He was just keeping it real 💯💯

sweetmekmek1 I knew he was on a mission lol………..

victorys1secret I think there were moments that made u uncomfortable in a bad way…I turned it off…

demeplusmore I felt like he was a the coon of the show ,some of the things he was saying was really racist and didn’t deserve a laugh

lisaw171 Love me some Chris. He keeps it real , giving no regard to comfort level. A true risk taker. One love and Imma need to cop some of those Thin mint cookies from his daughter’s troops. Lol

mzjaye814 People need to be uncomfortable. Those moments that make u shift in your seat are the usually the times when truth are being spoken. People don’t like truth. Its easier to be comfortable than to face the truth.i loved it…every uncomfortable moment
