The NY Knicks are down a teammate after one of their own was shot in the leg during a robbery outside a Queens strip club early this morning.
According to reports, perpetrators shot Cleanthony Early in the right knee after demanding his cash and belongings, including: his iPhone 6, two gold chains and the gold caps on his teeth. Yikes.
Early was reportedly in an Uber when three cars “boxed in the vehicle.” The Uber driver was also robbed without injury. Early is in stable condition.
The Knicks released this statement,
“We are aware of what occurred with Cleanthony Early this morning and are relieved that he is not in a life-threatening situation,” the team said. “We will not comment any further until we receive more information.”
Some of his teammates have taken to social media to ask for prayers.
