Apple Unveils New Versions Of iPhone 6, Apple TV

In just a matter of 24 hours, Pope Francis’ arrival in the United States has caused excessive travel delays. After visiting President Barack Obama and shutting down the nation’s capital yesterday afternoon, the Pope could be the prime reason why iPhone fans may be in a bad mood for the next few days.

According to Mashable, Pope Francis’ arrival will potentially delay iPhone shipments for users residing in Philadelphia and New York City. Because of the need for extra security, UPS and FedEx have issued temporary service adversaries for the next couple of days. So, from Sept. 24 – Sept. 26, those awaiting new iPhones will have to wait a little longer, considering Apple uses both UPS and FedEx to send out shipments within the United States.

Below, you can see which areas will be affected by the Pope’s arrival. In addition, UPS will not perform pick-ups or deliveries within the following zip-codes:

New York (Thurs. Sept. 24 and Fri. Sept. 25):

  • 10001
  • 10007
  • 10017
  • 10021
  • 10022
  • 10023
  • 10029

Philadelphia (Fri. Sept. 25 and Sat. Sept. 26):

  • 19102
  • 19103
  • 19104
  • 19106
  • 19107
  • 19109
  • 19123
  • 19130
  • 19146
  • 19147

Don’t fret, you can still go to the Apple Store, track shipments, and possibly even pick up your phones at a local UPS. As for FedEx, there is an Excel spreadsheet you can use to track your shipments.

For those salivating over the new iPhone 6S or iPhone 6S Plus, just keep your head up like Tupac Shakur
