There’s no question that Kendrick Lamar is one of the leaders of the new school, especially with his sophomore album already being deemed a hip-hop classic. After being nominated for 13 VMAs, it looks like the world is finally starting to get it…even if Kendrick isn’t used to the praise.

With a few accolades under his belt, King Kendrick called into Zane Lowe’s Beats 1 Radio show to bask in a bit of that glory.

During the phone interview Kendrick mentions that he won’t be releasing his next album for awhile, but is ready to get the To Pimp a Butterfly tour started and hit a lot of venues. Kendrick also speaks on Jay Rock’s follow-up to Gumbo as a TDE member tweeted out a video of Kendrick vibing to  some of Rock’s new music while in the studio.

Stay locked here as a link to the full interview is sure to surface.
