The Confederate flag may be a reflection of something positive to some but to many it is a reflection of hate. The flag has especially been the focal point of hate crimes and racism after the devastating mass church shooting. Today history was made after the department of Public Safety Director Leroy Smith, one of the state’s African-American officials, removed the flag. Whats next for the flag? It will be moved to the South Carolina Confederate Relic Room & Military Museum.
