Ki Ki Brown My mother was abused which is why I’m such an advocate for this. I was too little to help her but I remember watching her fight my sisters father. When he tried to attack me, she attacked him with a cast iron frying pan. Haven’t seen him since. She fought back. It took many times of being hospitalized to finally fight back. She did it when she saw him attack me. So I do what I can to help those who are going through it. I get upset when we ignore the “next door neighbor” incidents but make noise when it’s a celebrity. Domestic violence is not selective. It happens to everyone at any time for any reason. Do something. Save a life!

shonta_bird Yes, when I was 18, we we’re both bull headed and fought all the time. Then I had our first child, it stopped. 23years later, with alot of prayer, we have 3 youngins 21, 17,& 15. You must put God first in your relationship.

rage_babexo Yes the lies, controlling, the mental physical and emotional abuse went on for 2 years before I finally said “I’m done. there is better out there, and more to life then this” its been 2 years since I walked away and I life is so great now! @drejohnson1

irock20pearlz As a culture, we have to do better. There are a lot of kids that grow up today witnessing their parents in domestic relationships, and the kids believe that behavior is normal. Therefore they follow the same pattern and believe because they fight back it makes it okay.
mrflan @drejohnson1 Been there and very painful. Most couples don’t have effective communication skills, and if you don’t learn self control and how to value each others worth, domestic violence will always be an issue!

glennrogersjr I was facing 10yrs bc of her for pushing her. Luckily, I has no priors and the judge seen what type of person she is and how she provoked da whole incident
