Apple officially announced that they will acquire Beats Electronics from rapper/entreprenuer Dr. Dre and longtime music exec Jimmy Iovine for the hefty price tag of $3 Billion.
This move will give Apple to boost it needs to shift away from the slowing iTunes sales and jump into the world of music subscription service and streaming.
