Defending French Open champion and world top-ranker Serena Williams was stunned by 35th ranked Garbine Muguruza of Spain. In just 64 minutes Muguruza knocked the reigning champ out of the second round of the French Open (6-2, 6-2) today.

Earlier today (May 28), Venus Williams was also eliminated from the French Open after her loss to No. 56 Anna Schmiedlova (2-6, 6-3, 6-4). If the Williams sisters won their matches today, they would have met each other in the third round.
