A new regulation from the US Army has caused an extreme uproar among soldiers and civilians alike. The new rule bans hairstyles done in twists, locks, braids or afros. This leaves little to no option for women of color who choose to wear their natural hair. Over 30% of the women who proudly serve our country are women of color. Now, thousands of soldiers have signed a White House petition to kill this ‘raciailly biased’ regulation.
