The Philadelphia Eagles announced today via Twitter that they were cutting wide receiver DeSean Jackson after weeks of speculation. The seven-year WR is a three-time Pro Bowler, caught 82 passes for 1,332 yards and nine touchdowns in 2013.
Here are some reasons that came across the table:
1. DeSean was lazy and missing practices.
2. DeSean’s supposed gang affiliations being exposed on social media didn’t help.
3. Philadelphia frees $6.5 million against the salary cap for letting Jackson go.
