I really enjoyed my first MLK Day parade with the Baltimore community! Special shouts to all who helped me collect clothes for the homeless in support of my sorority/chapter “Heart for the Homeless” which is set to take place Saturday, February 1st at the War Memorial (across the street). This was especially important to me and my chapter (Tau Eta Zeta, Baltimore City) because there are so many of our loved ones not only suffering from mental illness and poverty, but living on these deadly streets; taking on the challenges of being in the severe weather everyday!
We take what we have for granted and yesterday, you took the time to think about someone else! I’m sure Dr. King would have loved that! I know we did! THANK YOU!
