Last weekend, the “Single Ladies” actress turned heads and stopped traffic in a gorgeous white gown as she married her soul mate, famed music director Anthony Mandler, in a vineyard wedding in California. Jennifer Hudson was on singing duties as guests gathered in Santa Ynez, to see the couple say their “I Dos,” while DJ D-Nice held it down at the reception.
Catching up with Lossip right before the big day, Denise reminisced on how she and Anthony first met through Lil Wayne and she also revealed why they decided against the huge wedding and went for something small and private.
On how they met
We met through work, but I can honestly say we became friends first. I was filming a music video for Lil’ Wayne, “How To Love,” and that’s how we met. I had two incredible days working with him. They didn’t end up using the video, but I’m so grateful for that project because I got to meet the love of my life. I never in a million years expected that I was going to meet up husband by taking that project, but I did. So we are thankful!
