Diamond Girls Of Baltimore, Molding The Minds Of The City’s Best And Brightest
Saturday morning I had the pleasure of speaking to a wonderful group of young ladies known as The Diamond Girls Of Baltimore. In honor of Women’s History Month, Founder Mea Sydnor-Murphy developed a speaker series recognizing successful area women in various industries to empower and mentor today’s youth. We had a ball discussing how to become successful by doing what you absolutely LOVE.
I left the ladies with 5 Pearls Of Wisdom —
1. Respect yourself and others.
2. Learn something new everyday.
3. Know your gift and be the very best at it.
4. Make a goal and work towards it everyday.
5. Give back.
The Diamond Girls/ Out of School Program provides 3rd – 8th grade girls with the opportunity to explore and develop new interests as well as enrich their abilities and strengthen skills acquired in school through a variety of fun experiences. Diamond Girls is established as an ongoing weekly program that supports the needs of the whole girl as well as tracking and monitoring behavior, classroom grades, and social activities among peers. The Diamond Girls are a human service organization dedicated to developing the full potential of girls of all ages through programs that build healthy spirit, mind, and body for all.
Mea Sydnor-Murphy is doing a wonderful job with this group of young ladies and in honor of Women’s Month, I salute YOU Mea Sydnor-Murphy for being such an empowering force in the city of Baltimore.
