We all have that one friend, family member, co-worker; you know the one that has absolutely no filter. No filter meaning they say exactly what their thinking at that very moment. Sometimes what they say may seem offensive or rude, but you have to take in consideration that they may mean well. Its better to appreciate the honest feedback and realize the way they say things is blunt and to the point, but its constructive criticism. Instead of getting  defensive, realize thier good intention. So how do you take this type of criticism or comment without taking it personal? Here are a few tips to help you deal with people with this demeanor:

  • Don’t Take It Personally
  • Objectify the comments – understand the underlying message
  • Take it as a source of honest feedback
