Lloyd Carter is suing the department and the city for racial discrimination in employment.
He says for decades they have been getting away with everything from internal affairs investigations and reassigning people because of race. He has been with the department for almost 30 years and was the President of Vulcan Blazers at one time. The Vulcan Blazers was created to handle the black firefighters issues.
Lloyd Carter, who is black, has been deputy chief of recruitment since July and has had enough!
