A Hip- Hop ol’ G , Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons, celebrates his birthday today. A native of Baltimore, yet raised in Yonkers, Simmons first fell in love with Hip-Hop in the early 80s and hit the scene as a beat boxer with Ready Ron in ’91.  Simmons is a former member of the popular collective, Ruff Ryders, yet released several solo albums. In 1992 Simmons was signed to Columbia Records. His discography includes several albums including the ’98 debut album, ” Its Dark and Hell is Hot”, “Flesh of My Flesh, Blood of My Blood”, best selling album  “And Then There Was X” and three others. Simmons has also starred in several movies including Cradle to the Grave, Romeo Must Die, Belly, Exit Wounds, Last Hour and other small films.

Earl ‘DMX’ Simmons is originally from Baltimore and recently linked up with Baltimore’s own Los to be featured on The Crown Aint Safe. He is currently working on his own album, “Redemption of the Beast”, which is slated for release Dec. 2011. 92Q wishes DMX a happy birthday.
