Health Department Offers Free HIV Testing On World AIDS Day

The Health Department will provide free HIV testing Thursday, Dec. 1, at Coppin State University, from 9 a.m. – 2 p.m.

The B’more Aware of HIV: The Living Red Ribbon event also will feature a health fair, entertainment, refreshments and more. Plus, join us before 11 a.m. to register for the Guinness Book of World Records attempt (noon) at forming the largest “Living Red Ribbon” ever, with approximately 4,000 participants.

Dec. 1, the county is offering walk-in clinics with free HIV testing and results in 20 minutes at these locations:

Drumcastle Center, 6401 York Road in Towson, from 10 a.m. – 4 p.m.

Essex Health Center, 1538 Country Ridge Lane, Essex/Middle River, from 2-4 p.m.

Hiss United Methodist Church, 8700 Harford Road, Parkville, from 6-9 p.m.

In addition, the county offers free blood or oral HIV testing at county health centers on scheduled days, including:

Liberty Family Resource Center, 3505 Resource Drive, Randallstown, on the second and fourth Mondays of the month, from 5-7 p.m. Results are available in 20-40 minutes.
