Baltimore will begin to be impacted by Hurricane Irene as it makes its way up the coast. With the heavy rain, several roads have begun to flood.

The National Weather Service says flash floods linked to Hurricane Irene have closed roads in Baltimore and several Maryland counties.

The agency says parts of Harford, McElderry and West Patapsco

roads in Baltimore were closed by high water Saturday night.

In Anne Arundel County, flash flooding closed a section of state

routes 176 and 450.

Route 249 is closed and flooded in St. Mary’s County.

And state Route 223 is closed and flooded at Rosaryville Road in

Prince George’s County.
