Ki Ki Brown with Ravens’ fullback and Alabama’s own Le’Ron McClain

April 27, 2011 will go down in history as one of the most devastating days of spring tornadoes in four decades.  Over 350 people died and parts of the Southeast still look like a war zone.  Ravens fullback Le’Ron McClain knows first hand as he was in his house in Tuscaloosa, Alabama when one of the biggest tornadoes hit.  His home went undamaged, but many others were not so lucky.  That’s why Radio One Baltimore teamed up with Le’Ron to present “B’more for ‘Bama Relief Day!”

We started at the Radio One Baltimore studios at 1705 Whitehead Road and then headed downtown to the Carmelo Anthony Center to take donations that will go directly to the storm victims.  The outpouring of love and generosity was incredible!  Baltimore really showed up and showed out for our family in need down south!  We received everything from bottled water, toiletries, clothing, shoes, toys, diapers, baby food and other basic necessities that are so desperately needed.  Thanks again B’more for always helping those in need in our “Q-munity” and beyond!
