At last night’s VH1 Hip-Hop Honors to the “Dirty South”, Timbaland, Uncle Luke, Master P, Jermaine Dupri and J Prince were treated with tribute performances. In addition to the individual accolades the program was broken down into regional honors as well with performances paying homage to Miami, Atlanta and Texas. Interesting to note that Trick Daddy performed during the Luke set and not the Miami set. What was that all about?
Also, how is it that Master P got a tribute (and he is deserving) but Cash Money Records didn’t? Not even a cop out New Orleans tribute? Lastly, why didn’t Skillz perform for the Timbaland tribute? That “Are You That Somebody” remix is one of the most played songs in radio history. Umjusaskin.
The tribute clips are below but if you want to see all of the performances head on over to VH1.com or for the commercial free versions go to MrWorldPremier.net
