Kendrick Lamar & Beyoncé Soundtrack Trailer for New DiCaprio Film
Kendrick Lamar and Beyoncé’s powerful anthem “Freedom” sets the tone for the trailer of One Battle After Another, a new film starring Leonardo DiCaprio.
Directed by Paul Thomas Anderson, the movie features DiCaprio alongside Teyana Taylor, Sean Penn, Benicio del Toro, and Regina Hall. The story follows former revolutionaries (DiCaprio and Taylor) on the run from a white supremacist police officer, making the fiery track a fitting backdrop for the action-packed preview.
It’s not yet confirmed whether “Freedom” will appear in the final cut of the film, which is scheduled to hit theaters on September 26.
Meanwhile, Kendrick continues to expand his presence in Hollywood. He’s producing and starring in an upcoming comedy, now slated for a March 20, 2026 release. The project, created in collaboration with South Park creators Trey Parker and Matt Stone, was originally expected in July 2025 but was delayed due to Kendrick’s ongoing Grand National Tour with SZA.
While details remain under wraps, reports suggest the film (rumored title: Whitney Springs) will follow a Black man working as a slave re-enactor at a museum who discovers that his white girlfriend’s ancestors once owned his.
Casting rumors include Chloe East (The Fabelmans) and newcomer Celeste Octavia. Filming reportedly began in Pomona, California, though no official word has been given on its completion.
