The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) will bring its 2025 Football Media Day to M&T Bank Stadium today.
The annual media event marks the unofficial kickoff to the MEAC football season, bringing together head coaches, standout student-athletes, and media from across the region. This year’s choice of venue highlights the MEAC’s growing visibility and its strong ties to the NFL.
“This is a historic milestone for the MEAC,” said Commissioner Sonja Stills. “Hosting our Football Media Day at an NFL venue reflects the growing visibility, strength, and momentum of our conference. We’re thrilled to showcase our member institutions in such a dynamic and high-profile environment.”
Ravens President Sashi Brown echoed the sentiment, calling it an honor to welcome the conference and its eight historically Black colleges and universities (HBCUs) to M&T Bank Stadium.
“HBCUs have made profound historical, cultural, educational, and societal impacts that continue to inspire pride and progress,” Brown said. “It’s an honor to welcome these outstanding programs and their student-athletes as they prepare for the upcoming season.”
Troy Vincent, NFL Executive Vice President of Football Operations, added that the partnership underscores the league’s ongoing support for HBCUs and the MEAC’s legacy of excellence both on and off the field.
“The MEAC has long produced exceptional student-athletes as well as generations of civic leaders, changemakers, and history-makers who have shaped communities and our country,” Vincent said. “Bringing MEAC Football Media Day to M&T Bank Stadium continues the longstanding NFL relationship with HBCUs and partnership with the MEAC.”
As in past years, each MEAC football program will send its head coach and select players to meet with the media and preview the upcoming season. A full schedule of events, participating players, and broadcast details will be released closer to the event in July, and media credential applications will open at a later date.
The 2025 MEAC football season officially kicks off Saturday, August 23, with the annual MEAC/SWAC Challenge at Center Parc Stadium in Atlanta. That game, featuring North Carolina Central University against Southern University, will air live on ABC at 7:30 p.m. ET.
