Nelly and Ashanti Launch New Reality TV Show
Nelly and Ashanti are bringing their love story to the small screen with their new reality show Nelly & Ashanti: We Belong Together, premiering June 26 on Peacock.
The show will follow the couple’s journey as they reunite after a decade apart, secretly get married, and welcome their first child together. Fans will get a front-row seat to their day-to-day life, from navigating marriage and parenthood to balancing fame and family.
Nelly and Ashanti first sparked romance rumors back in 2003 and dated for more than ten years before splitting up in 2013. After years apart, they rekindled their relationship in 2022 and tied the knot in a secret ceremony in December 2023.
In June 2024, the couple announced the birth of their son, Kareem “KK” Kenkaide Haynes. Ashanti, now a first-time mom at 44, has called motherhood “overwhelming” but “incredible,” sharing in interviews that she’s juggling diaper changes with music rehearsals and late-night feedings with red carpet appearances.
This isn’t Nelly’s first time on reality TV. He previously starred in Nellyville and competed on Dancing with the Stars. For Ashanti, this marks her first major reality series, though she’s no stranger to the spotlight, with a Grammy win and acting credits under her belt.
