Despite leading after the first quarter, the defending champs were outplayed in nearly every facet, with OKC storming back behind a huge second quarter to take a 14-point lead into halftime—and never looked back. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander lit up the scoreboard with 35 points, while Jalen Williams added 24 and seven dimes to push the Thunder into their first Western Conference Finals since 2016.
Nikola Jokić led the Nuggets with 20 points, nine boards, and seven assists, but it wasn’t nearly enough as Denver’s offense sputtered, shooting just 39.3% from the field and committing 23 turnovers. With the win, the Thunder advance to face the red-hot Minnesota Timberwolves. Meanwhile, the Nuggets are left with a long offseason ahead and big questions about what’s next for their aging core.
