In an interview earlier this week, comedian Mike Epps revealed that he’ll be starring in Ice Cube’s new Last Friday movie.

The film will be the forth installment of the franchise and according to Epps, the deal is officially done. “We just finished the deal … I haven’t seen the script but I’m pretty sure it’s good,” said Epps. “And we gonna bring in the new comics.”

Epps went on to reveal that DC Young Fly is one of those new comics who will be a part of the film, and he hopes Chris Tucker will join them as well.

“We need to get Chris Tucker in that because people still love Chris Tucker. He’s still Smokey. He laid it down. He positioned me to do it. Chris, if you’re listening: we need ya, baby boy. Come on back!”

Ice Cube recently teased Last Friday during a podcast interview saying, “We gonna make it dope, make it funny, bring it up to date, introduce new characters, bring back old characters, create the feeling the move gives you.”

The release date for the new movie has not yet been made public.
