Multiple Ballot Drop Boxes Set On Fire Hundreds Of Votes Destroyed

Authorities are investigating an incident that involved at least two ballot boxes that were set on fire Monday morning. Police responded to a call about a fire in Portland, Oregon Monday, where the police department said an “incendiary device” was placed inside the box.
The Portland Police Bureau said in a statement,
“Officers determined an incendiary device was placed inside the ballot box and used to ignite the fire.”
A second ballot box was also set on fire early Monday morning at a bus station in nearby Vancouver, Washington. The Clark County Elections Office said hundreds of ballots were damaged.
