It looks like roles may have reversed following Gbenga Akkinagbe of HBO’s The Wire claims that a woman has sexually assaulted him. Gbenga accused journalist Lola Adesioye of sexual assault, that reportedly happened twice in 2020. Lola was reportedly arrested for “forcible touching, sexual abuse, and harassment,” but her lawyer claims that his client and the Gbenga were involved in a consensual relationship and he has a binder of receipts (text messages) to prove it.

Per Hot New Hip Hop, the lawyer says that “In that first binder are hundreds of text messages back and forth from one another that make it very clear that you have two young people flirting with one another,” Gottlieb said. “They were talking about snuggling… They talk about kissing.”

So we’ll see where this goes, the two are set to head to court reportedly this year.
