It’s not certain exactly what addiction the Brooklyn rapper is facing, but her somber tone is quite revealing. We’ve become used to her stoic and cool demeanor outfitted by her tasteful style. Just this past Tuesday (June 22nd), she shared a prayer in which she alluded to being “afraid” and asking for guidance of her “healer’s hands”.
Her battle against addiction is one that’ll be tough but she’s already made a big step by seeking help. I’ve respected Young M.A wholeheartedly for her lyrical abilities and how good her music sounds. When she gets past all of this, I hope that she’ll get right back to the grind and can turn her pain into music. Maybe the newfound clarity will take her career to the next level.
