If the energy isn’t on the right frequency, safe to say that the “art” won’t be either. SZA didn’t want to run that risk on her successful single ‘Hit Different’ featuring Ty Dolla $ign. To make sure the vibe was right, she advised “Dolla” to absorb some crystal energy before hopping on the track.
“She had all these, like, crystals set up, and she wanted me to stand in the correct way to get the right energy,” Ty said during an interview with Vulture. “I did it, and the hook came immediately.”
We take energy for granted sometimes and may even find ourselves in situations that we know we shouldn’t be in. We may find ourselves working on projects that don’t “vibe” right but just like SZA, we shouldn’t hesitate to remind ourselves how important the vibrations are.
