It’s safe to say everyone is doing something to make sure there are plenty of registered voters in this upcoming election. Today Billionaire Michael Bloomberg paid the fines and fees for 32,000 felons in the state of Florida, so they would be able to register to vote today! According to multiple sources the fines totaled out to be roughly around $16 million dollars.

According to a report from @Axios, Bloomberg fund-raised the money to pay off the fines of thousands of felons as it was preventing them from voting.
Florida passed a law in 2018 reinstating voting rights for felons ONLY if they pay all fines, fees, and restitution. For some felons, getting the right to vote in Florida could cost them more than $1,000 when registering to vote is free for the average citizen.
No greater feeling that actually being free to use your right to vote! Congrats to those newly registered voters and big ups to Michael Bloomberg for stepping to the call!
