Lauren “Tula” Poindexter is a 28 year old media personality, digital lifestyle coach, and 2018 Miss Louisiana United States. Her passion is entertaining and inspiring millennials through the content she creates.
She graduated Summa Cum Laude and received her Bachelor of Science degree in Broadcast Journalism from Bowie State University in May 2013.
Her show “Tula Talks” has allowed her to cover significant events such as Essence Fest, the Women’s March on Washington, President Barack Obama’s send off, New York Fashion Week and NBA All Star Weekend, while also covering fundamental topics such as entrepreneurship, HBCU success stories and more.
She also uses her platform as a media personality and Miss Louisiana to serve as an advocate and liaison to bridge the gap between mental health professionals and the families and individuals who need their services.
