School Shooting In Nevada Leaves Two Dead, Two Critically Injured

In the wake of the Florida shooting schools have been making changes to prevent school violence and Anne Arundel County schools is one of the schools making changes.

FOX 45 reports,

Anne Arundel County Public Schools announced there will be an increased police presence at schools this week to ease fear and anxiety of the community.

A statement from Anne Arundel County Public Schools on Facebook states:

In the wake of the deadly school shooting in Parkland, Florida, on Feb. 14, school officials are continuing to collaborate with county police and other partners to help ensure that school operations proceed as normally as possible. THERE ARE CURRENTLY NO KNOWN CREDIBLE THREATS AT ANY COUNTY SCHOOL. However, as a precaution and to help ease fear and anxiety of students, parents, and staff, you may see an increased additional police presence at schools tomorrow and throughout the week.”

“Please know that we take every report of every threat seriously, and work with our partners in law enforcement to fully investigate these matters. Again, additional police presence planned for schools this week is only a precaution. There are currently no known credible threats to any county schools.”
