Nelly’s rape allegations are far from over. Over the weekend, the lady who is accusing Nelly of raping her in Washington has asked the case be dropped. She said it’s not that Nelly didn’t rape her, she just feels that the justice system won’t do right by her. However, just because she asked the case be dropped, the Auburn Police Department revealed that they will continue with their investigation. They’re hoping to gather enough information to present to the prosecutor’s office next week.
Nelly’s lawyer, Scott Rosenblum, tells the site that he’s confident that the case will be closed.
“I would expect the police to do their due diligence.”
It seems that the case should be dropped since the young lady refuses to cooperate at this point. Her lawyer shares, “she will not testify further in a criminal proceeding against him. She never wanted notoriety. She never wanted a dime from that man. She wants to go back to school and to graduate. And this she cannot do if she remains hidden in her room, crying her heart out.”
