Ray J didn’t hold back about co-star Naomi Judd.
During filming for their FOX cooking show My Kitchen Rules (which also stars Andrew Dice Clay, Brandi Glanville, Dean Sheremet, and Lance Bass), Ray J alleged that the country music singer referred to grits as “slave food.”
Judd also had some less-than-glowing remarks to share about Ray J and the other cast members via Facebook, referring to Ray J as a “bad boy” with a sex tape and Glanville as a reality star from “one of those tawdry Housewives shows,” TMZ reports. Ray J took to Instagram on Wednesday (May 18) to vent his frustrations, stating that Judd’s remarks “ain’t cool.”
“Just heard some disturbing news,” he said. “I’m driving over here to do the cooking show for FOX, and Miss Judd got some disturbing things to say about me, about Brandi, about people on set. The minute I walked in, I said, ‘Listen, I’m engaged, I’m doing a new thing in my life, I’m happy I’m a part of a show like this.’ We got on set, and just, I don’t know – maybe I was trippin’ when she said she didn’t like grits because it was ‘slave food’ or that she would ‘rather starve than eat grits.’ I don’t know what was going on, but I felt uncomfortable, and now this come out? It’s just not cool.”
In the video caption, Ray J added:
“I have nothing but love for everybody – any ‘type’ of people! Any color!! We suppose to be better than this Mrs Judd! I hope you can look past how u feel about a ‘type’ of person and understand who they are first!”
