Hurricane Joaquin spares the city as it travels more east on Saturday morning. Baltimore area officials warned of strong winds and state coastal areas remains under flood warnings.
“Luckily we dodged the hurricane and are looking at off and on rain,” Connor Scott of Baltimore’s Office of Emergency Management said Saturday. “In terms of the big storm, we are going to avoid that.”
The latest forecast calls for rain and drizzle throughout the evening. Winds may reach up to 30 mph, according to the National Weather Service.
