Radio One of Washington DC united with members of the community and Prince George’s County Leaders to boldly take a stand against youth violence and crime with a State of Emergency “Live” Town Hall Meeting at Suitland Recreation Center on Monday night.
Six Prince George’s County Public School students have been viciously murdered this school year, two of the students from Suitland High School were killed within 24-hours of each other. This “Live” Town Hall Meeting bought members of the community and county leaders together to take immediate action and stop this epidemic of senseless violence against our youth. The event was hosted by 93.9 WKYS personalities Angie Ange & Big G; aka Anwan Glover and Majic 102.3 personalities Cortney Hicks & Adimu. They were joined by Prince Geroge’s State Attorney Angela Alsobrooks, Prince George’s County Police Chief Mark Magaw, community leaders, parents and students.
