In light of the recent Drake & Chris Brown fiasco I thought it would be a good idea to give a few tips on how to WALK AWAY from an argument. People all have different thoughts, opinions, and perceptions, but when they conflict with another’s they lead to altercations which lead to arguments. No one likes to argue. At least I don’t and if I can resolve an issue through peaceful conversation and compromise then I have save myself a headache and precious words that are most likely better left unsaid. With that being said here are a few tips on how to walk away from an argument.

Take deep breaths and count to 10:

Relax, inhale and exhale slowly and try to ignore whats being said. Count in your head to 10 and close your eyes to find your “Happy Place”. Keep a cool, calm, collected composure.

Ask if the situation is worth arguing over:

Don’t waste your time arguing over something petty. If you feel that the situation is not worth getting wildly upset over and has no real value then resolve it peacefully with decent conversation. Asses your role in the argument and if it’s not a positive DROP IT!!!

Explain that you don’t want to argue:

Simply put if you don’t feel like arguing DON’T!!!

BE THE BIGGER PERSON AND WALK AWAY!!!

Sometimes it’s best to be the bigger person and just walk away altogether. Despite the need to address the issue at the moment if tempers are flaring no one is going to get their point across because no one is listening to the others point of view. So if you can’t come to a compromise at a later time when both parties have calmed down it’s best to just WALK AWAY.
