Blaqstarr is a staple in Baltimore Club Music, but his talent reaches to all of the corners of the world.
Blaqstarr did the score for the Independent film, LUV, that was shot here in Baltimore, MD. When Common was in Baltimore to promote his new album, he spoke about starring in LUV.
“The movie follows the life of William “Woody” Watson, played by Michael Rainey, Jr., a 13-year-old in search of a family and better life. The emcee will play the role of Woody’s ex-con uncle Vincent. Woody will look to his uncle as a father figure, who hopes to lead a legitimate life but finds trouble doing so,” (HipHopDx)
Starring in LUV also includes Dennis Haysbert, Danny Glover, Charles S. Dutton, Megan Good, Michael K. Williams, Lonette McKee, Tracey Heggins and Marz Lovejoy.
