I got some news today that has me alittle discouraged. There’s nothing I can do about it but I will say that it’s taken my mood down a bit. I’m sure you’re feeling the same way so I figured I should help it with a few tips to get you through the day. I hope they’re of some help! Be encouraged!

1. Learn how to relax and rest your mind. There’s a solution to every problem and it often involves taking a step back and dealing with the issue at a later time. Don’t obsess about a situation, stay busy with other tasks and calm your mind.

2.  Set realistic goals for yourself. Putting too much pressure on yourself can leave you feeling overwhelmed and discouraged. Be sensible and have reasonable expectations.

3. Create a new life plan. If the goals you set for yourself don’t work out, form a new plan. Rather than sit and whine about your failures, take action.

4. Resolve to overcome discouragement. Happiness is a choice. Moreover, discouragement is a choice. Bad situations happen, and unfortunately, there’s nothing you can do about it. However, you can decide to feel good about yourself and life. In turn, you can handle every obstacle with a smile.

5. Get professional help. Sometimes, a bigger problem causes discouragement. If you suffer from ongoing anxiety or depression, consider talking with a mental health professional or getting an antidepressant prescription.
