Everyone wants to know where Melo wants to play for next — whether it be in a trade to another team, a contract extension with the Denver Nuggets, or if he plans to simply wait until the off-season to sign with someone when he’s a free agent.
“I don’t know, I mean I can’t really answer that question,” Anthony told ESPN’s Colleen Dominguez, when asked where he wants to play next season. “It’s tough for me to sit here and say, ‘Oh, I want to play in New York’ [or] ‘Oh, I want to play in New Jersey’ [or] ‘Oh, I want to stay here in Denver.’ ”
However, before this week, when news of a trade with the Nets arose, Anthony says he never even thought about going there.
