The National Weather Service has issued a  Winter Weather Advisory for most of Maryland through Wednesday morning.

The same storm system that devastated the south is making its way up towards the Baltimore Metropolitan area.

Forecasters predict 2-5 inches of snow will fall across the state.

Winter Storm Watch..Tuesday

TODAY: Cloudy with snow arriving in the afternoon (Coating-1″); cold. High: 34. Winds: NE 5 mph.

TONIGHT: Snow showers (2″-4″) under cloudy skies, mainly in the evening; then tapering off through the night and overnight. Low: 25. Winds: NE 5-10 mph, becoming NW.

TOMORROW: An early morning flurry is not impossible; otherwise, mostly cloudy skies, windy and chilly. High: 35. Winds: W 15-25 mph.
It is expected to begin around 1p.m. and continue throughout the evening.
