Earlier today, when this movie clip leaked, it had everyone thinking that it could be the trailer for a new Mortal Kombat trailer.
If this does make it to be a movie-I’m already there! I can’t wait for this to come out. I don’t know what they did before with that other movie, but this right here…..yea buddy!
Jeri Ryan, who is most notably known for her role in Star Trek: Voyager, played Sonya Blade in the clip, a no-mess-around hardcore cop always in hot pursuit of something.
Ryan, 42, explained the clip on her Twitter account last night.
“Okay, so… Mortal Kombat. It’s not a game trailer. Actually was made for the director to sell WB on his vision for a reimagined MK film, I did it as a favor to a friend. No idea yet what WB’s reaction to it was. And I’m not sure how you can contact WB to push them to make it. But you guys are resourceful…! ;-)”
Warner Bros. has yet to confirm anything about the reboot, and until they do, MK fans everywhere will keep busy by dusting off their game cartridges and revisiting some old friends.(CDINSIGHT)
